CAS STNext will soon be enhanced with an additional field in CAplus that indicates the Ultimate Owner of the IP. With this data, search strategies for company names could be expanded to find those patents where an organization was not the original patent assignee, but still own the IP. Using the Analyze command, it is possible to analyze the entries in this field to find which organizations have acquired IP rights or to whom IP rights were transferred. Join us for a preview of this new functionality.
