Bio

Julian Ivanov brings rare depth to the intersection of chemistry and data science. With a background that spans computational chemistry, environmental research, and scientific informatics, he applies rigorous quantitative methods to problems at the frontier of chemical knowledge. Before joining CAS, he held computational chemistry roles at Case Western Reserve University, The Ohio State University and Multicase, Inc. and conducted research at the Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig. He holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and Masters and Bachelors degrees in Organic Chemistry from Bourgas Technological University.
