Juliana is a Ph.D. candidate in theoretical and computational chemistry at Southern Methodist University under the advisement of Professor Elfi Kraka. She holds a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is an NSF GRFP Fellow and 2025 Lindau Young Scientist alumna. Her research focuses on vibrational spectroscopy, emphasizing local mode analysis to quantify bond strengths and noncovalent interactions across systems ranging from small molecules to proteins and solid-state materials. She actively advocates for parents and mothers in STEM while enjoying time with her family, reading, and volunteering in science outreach.
