Jusung An

Jusung is an NRF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Prof. Liviu Mirica’s group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on molecular tools for mechanistic studies of amyloid pathology and multimodal imaging for neurodegenerative diseases. He is interested in translating molecular-level insights into practical approaches for early disease detection and intervention. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Hallym University in 2018 and earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Korea University in 2024 under the guidance of Prof. Jong Seung Kim. During his doctoral studies, he developed optical imaging agents and in vitro diagnostic methods for Alzheimer's disease.
