Russ Naven is a scientific leader and innovator in predictive safety and AI-driven drug discovery. His vision is to transform predictive safety from a risk assessment function into a strategic driver of drug discovery success, connecting multimodal data, biological representation, and machine learning to guide the design of safer and more effective medicines. At Novartis, Russ leads the development of early safety strategies, where he champions the Safety by Design paradigm through the integration of expert human judgment with predictive in vitro and in silico safety data.
