Mohan Rao, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Scientist and Director in Systems & Digital Toxicology at Sanofi, with more than 20 years of pharma experience in drug discovery and development. His work integrates computational toxicology, systems biology, artificial intelligence and machine learning, single-cell and multi-omics approaches, and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) to improve the mechanistic understanding and prediction of drug safety. Prior to Sanofi, he held leadership roles in digital and regulatory toxicology at AbbVie, Johnson & Johnson, and Neurocrine Biosciences. He has supported nonclinical safety assessment across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities and has contributed to regulatory submissions and translational safety strategies from discovery through clinical development.
