Lucius Kemp is a scientific and laboratory automation leader with nearly three decades of experience developing automation strategies and workflows across the life sciences and materials industries. As Scientific Director at Biosero, Kemp works with scientists, researchers, and organizations to design integrated automation solutions that address complex R&D workflows. His responsibilities include scientific engagement, technical workshops, feasibility studies, and workflow design, with a focus on helping organizations adopt scalable automation technologies. Prior to Biosero, Kemp was Director and Head of Automation Chemistry and Services at MilliporeSigma. His career also includes leadership and technical roles at Merck KGaA, Bristol Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca, Clariant, Chemspeed, and Mettler Toledo. His expertise encompasses laboratory automation, automation strategy, workflow development, scientific applications, and technology adoption. Kemp is passionate about using automation to improve the way scientists work and enabling more efficient, reproducible, and scalable approaches to scientific discovery.
