Henry U. Valle's academic and professional journey is firmly rooted in the disciplines of Inorganic Chemistry and Small Molecule X-Ray Crystallography, emblematic of his unwavering commitment to the pursuit of scientific excellence. He attained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry at California State University, Long Beach in 2008, under the guidance of Professor Xianhui Bu. Subsequently, his educational odyssey culminated in the triumphant attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Inorganic Chemistry, a milestone directed by the distinguished Professor Joseph P. Emerson at Mississippi State University in 2018. In August 2019, Henry transitioned to the role of Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Princeton University. In this capacity, he was privileged to collaborate with and learn from the distinguished mentorship of Professor John T. Groves, in the realm of C-H activation and photocatalysis, further propelling his scientific trajectory. In August 2021, Henry assumed the position of Senior Scientist, leading pioneering initiatives in Micro Electron Diffraction (MicroED) and Small Molecule X-Ray Crystallography at Nanoimaging Service Inc., situated in the scientific epicenter of San Diego, California. In May 2022, he transitioned to 8BioMed assuming the position of Senior Research and Development Chemist, dedicating his efforts to pioneering the development of innovative Oxygen therapeutics grounded in Hemoglobin. In August 2023, he initiated an intensive training program under the revered guidance of Professor Hosea Nelson at California Institute of Technology (Caltech). The focus of his training was the application of Micro Electron Diffraction (MicroED). Henry also embraced the role of Scientific Consultant within the innovative startup enterprise, MicroEDLab that same month. In October 2023, he embraced a impactful role as a Applications Specialist within the prestigious American Chemical Society's division, CAS. His specialization extended to SciFinder and the entire suite of CAS Software, showcasing his ability to translate his scientific expertise into providing substantial value to the scientific community.
