Kazuho Ban

Kazuho received his B.Sc. in pharmacy from Gifu Pharmaceutical University in 2019. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Osaka in 2025 under the supervision of Professor Shuji Akai, completing it a year early. His doctoral research focused on developing novel deuterated alkylation reagents for drug discovery. Currently, Kazuho is a JSPS postdoctoral fellow in Professor Yoshinari Sawama's group at the University of Osaka, and he also works with Professor Frank Glorius at the University of Münster. His research interests include the development of visible-light-induced organic photochemical reactions.
