Dr. Jeremy Krogman earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brandeis University and was further trained at M.I.T. as a research fellow Before joining CAS, he served as an assistant professor at ShanghaiTech University. Since 2021, he has worked as an Information Scientist at CAS, contributing to the document curation process. Jeremy also collaborates with CAS's Science Connect team and has led many research projects focused on energy, sustainability, and chemistry topics.

Deep eutectic solvents: Sustainable alternatives for greener manufacturing
Deep eutectic solvents are key innovations for green chemistry. They’re cost-effective, environmentally friendly substances that can be used in drug delivery, wastewater treatment, and environmental clean-up. Researchers are finding new substances that make them more effective.

Fossil fuels to biofuels: How biomass can drive sustainability
Biomass is currently just a fraction of our energy sources, but with more sustainable feedstocks and conversion processes, biomass-based chemicals and fuels could become common replacements for fossil fuel-based materials.
