About the CAPES agreement

CAPES and CAS have established a national agreement to expand equitable access to high-quality scientific information across Brazil.

Through this agreement, 234 participating universities and research institutions have access to the CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform™ and CAS BioFinder™ at no cost to the institution.

The initiative aims to support scientific research, innovation, and education by providing researchers, faculty, and students with trusted, curated scientific data

Go to the CAPES Portal de Periódicos.

Log in from your institution’s campus or remotely via CAFe

Search for CAS SciFinder and click on “Ver no editor”​

Create your account by clicking “Sign up here”. If you already have an account, simply click “Access CAS SciFinder” to log in.​

After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Once your account is confirmed, return to the CAPES Portal and click “Access CAS SciFinder”.​
