Michael is an IP Search Engineer who previously served as the sole patent searcher at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office for over 16 years, providing prior-art chemical searches for patent examiners and training examiners in chemistry, medicinal, polymer, and pharmaceutical searches. Prior to patent searching, Michael worked as a research assistant in organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, microbiology, and monoclonal antibodies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and is a member of PIUG.
