Alicia Battaglia

Alicia is currently a postdoctoral fellow working with Prof. Aimy Bazylak in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on developing novel ionomers and catalysts for CO₂ electrolysis. Alicia received her B.Sc. in chemistry from Western University with Profs. Joe Gilroy and John Corrigan. She then obtained her Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Dwight Seferos from the Department of Chemistry at University of Toronto, where she designed polymer binders for organic electrodes. Beyond research, Alicia is passionate about chemical education, green chemistry, and advocating for inclusivity in the chemical sciences.
