Process for creating a new page

This document outlines the process for creating a new page on the website. This process assumes that the need for the new page has already been established and is aligned with the overall website strategy. If the new page is part of a larger website section, please refer to the "Process for Creating a New Website Section" document.

1. Planning

  • 1.1 Content Gathering:
    • The Marketing team will gather all necessary content for the new page. This includes:
      • Text
      • Images
      • Videos
      • Downloads
      • Any other relevant assets
  • 1.2 Content Outline:
    • The Marketing team will complete the website content template, if one does not already exist from the website section planning process. This outline will define the structure and hierarchy of the page content.
  • 1.3 URL Structure:
    • The Developer team will determine the URL structure for the new page, ensuring it is logical, user-friendly, and SEO-friendly.
  • 1.4 Design Specifications:
    • The Developer team will provide the Marketing team with design specifications for the new page. This may include:
      • Wireframes
      • Mockups
      • Specific design elements
  • 1.5 Technical Requirements:
    • The Marketing team will outline any specific technical requirements for the new page. This may include:
      • Forms
      • Integrations
      • Interactive elements
      • Functionality

2. Webflow Development

  • 2.1 Page Creation:
    • Webflow Developers will create the new page in Webflow, adhering to the design specifications and technical requirements provided by the Marketing team.
  • 2.2 Content Implementation:
    • Webflow Developers will implement the content provided by the Marketing team, ensuring it is:
      • Accurate
      • Properly formatted
      • Visually appealing
  • 2.3 Functionality Implementation:
    • Webflow Developers will implement any required functionality, such as forms, integrations, or interactive elements.
  • 2.4 SEO Optimization:
    • Webflow Developers will ensure the page is optimized for search engines, following SEO best practices.

3. Review and Approval

  • 3.1 Internal Review:
    • Webflow Developers will conduct an internal review of the new page to ensure it meets all technical and design requirements.
  • 3.2 Marketing Review:
    • The Marketing team will review the new page to ensure the content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the overall website strategy.
