Taotao obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wuhan University in 2010. After that, he went to the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to pursue his Ph.D. in bioinorganic chemistry under the supervision of Professor Chi-Ming Che and obtained the degree in February 2015. Thereafter, he spent half a year working with Professor Peter J. Sadler at the University of Warwick. He then went back to the Department of Chemistry at HKU and worked as a postdoctoral fellow until now. Taotao’s research lies at the interface of chemistry and biology, particularly focused on anticancer metal medicines and luminescent diagnostic agents.
