Biswajit Mondal (2017)

Biswajit received his B.Sc. in chemistry from Scottish Church College (University of Calcutta) in 2009 and M.Sc. degree in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India in 2011. His master’s project included research into a gold-catalysed benzannulation reaction at the laboratory of Prof. Tarun K. Sarkar at IIT Kharagpur. He is currently a Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Ph.D. Research Fellow (CSIR) in the group of Dr. Abhishek Dey at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. His research is focused on the development of bio-inspired water-splitting catalysts. He also attended the Cyclic Voltammetry International School, Paris (2015) at Laboratoire d’Electrochimie Moléculaire in Université Paris Diderot led by Prof. J. M. Savéant. Most recently, he was selected to attend the 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany.
