Nacole King (2017)

Nacole was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a minor in mathematics at Virginia State University in 2010. Nacole received her Ph.D. in chemistry from North Carolina State University under the direction of Prof. Paul A. Maggard. She investigated the syntheses and characterization of oxide semiconductors for application in solar energy conversion. Currently, she is a NRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the laboratory of Dr. Winnie Wong-Ng. As a postdoctoral fellow, Nacole’s research focuses on a combinational approach to study photocatalytic systems.
