Luke acquired his B.S. degree in chemistry in 2011 from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. During his undergraduate studies, Luke was selected to participate in the Thronson International Scholar program and elected to study at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland with Professor John Murphy. He then went on to Ohio State University to pursue his Ph.D. in organic chemistry working alongside Professor Psaras McGrier. His research focuses on developing novel covalent organic frameworks for applications in gas storage, separation and sensing. Luke’s interest in organic materials stems from his desire to develop cost effective and environmentally friendly frameworks.
