Dr. Dennis is responsible for driving the development of the unparalleled CAS scientific content collection and leading 500-plus CAS scientists in uncovering insights that accelerate R&D discovery. He is also responsible for all CAS legal matters, including licensing of intellectual property (IP), compliance, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) alongside the CAS President and Leadership Team. He also leads CAS community relations efforts.

Dr. Dennis joined CAS in 1997 from Metcalf & Eddy, a global environmental consulting and engineering firm, where he was Senior Chemist.

He is active in the American Chemical Society (ACS), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the American, Ohio, and Columbus Bar Associations.

He serves on the National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) Board, COSI (Science Museum) Board, Smart Columbus Advisory Board, Juvenile Diabetes (JDRF) Advisory Board, One Columbus Leadership Circle, Columbus Rotary, and PAST Foundation Board. He also participates in several charitable organizations.

Dr. Dennis earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from The Ohio State University and JD from Capital University.
