Viewing records in the Patent Queue

When records are placed in the Patent Queue (or a project), only the following are displayed:

• Titles
• Patent numbers
• Patent kind codes, if available
• Name of the full-text database  

A boldfaced title indicates that the details for the record have not yet been viewed.

To view a partial abstract:  

Click the abstract icon (  ) to the right of the record.  The first 256 characters in the abstract are displayed.

To view details for a record:

Click on the title of the full-text patent document.  Note that there is a charge for viewing document details. 

Once a record has been viewed, the title is no longer bold.

To view metadata about a record:

Click the metadata icon ( ) to the right of the record.  Notice that, after a record has been viewed, the metadata icon includes a red exclamation point.

The metadata includes information such as the viewing history for the record.
