REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) legislation has established a series of deadlines over the next decade that require companies to submit registrations containing detailed property data for substances that they manufacture, transport, or sell in the European Union. Highly hazardous and large volume substances must be registered by December 2010, moderate volume substances by June 2013, and low volume substances by June 2018.
