GBFULL now offers single source for full-text coverage of complete UK patent families
With the recent addition of patent specifications to the GBFULL database, United Kingdom (GB) Patents Full Text, you now have one convenient source for full-text coverage of complete patent family information published in the UK. Beginning with the November 29, 2008 update date, both the patent applications and the corresponding specifications form one database record.
To display the complete information for a database record, use display formats appended with .M (e.g., BIB.M, ALL.M). Database records contain bibliographic data and full text for the description and claims. An abstract accompanies about 85% of the applications.
Note: Text for these UK patent applications and specifications has been created by optical character recognition (OCR) software and may therefore contain misinterpreted characters or incomplete text.
For additional information about GBFULL, refer to the STN Database Summary Sheet.

PHIN - Go to PHIN to find the pharmaceutical and health-care industry information you need - current or archival - from just one source
Effective December 20, 2008, the PHIN database (Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industry News) will be reloaded with new fields as current information from PHIC (Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industry Current News) is merged with the archival records of PHIN. You will no longer need to consult two databases to obtain the pharmaceutical and health-care industry information you need. Whether you are interested in the most current information or need to consult the archive, you will find it all in the newly reloaded PHIN database
Once the reloaded PHIN database is released, PHIC will be discontinued and the PHIND cluster (composed of PHIC and PHIN) retired. If you should attempt to log into PHIC or the PHIND cluster after December 20, 2008, you will see an explanatory banner message redirecting you to the newly loaded PHIN.
PHIN will be updated on a daily basis beginning on December 23, 2008. New 2009 pricing for PHIN will be available on January 1, 2009.
