STN Express, Version 8.4.2, is now available for Windows. The software is free to all STN users.
Step A - Read about Version 8.4.2
Note: Two installation options are available:
- MSI (recommended)
- Scripted
Should I use the MSI or Scripted Installer?
Step B - Download Version 8.4.2
You must have a web browser and an active connection to the Internet to download Version 8.4.2. (To request the software on CD-ROM, contact CAS Customer Care or use the STN Express Order Form.)
- Visit the STN Software License and Download web site. This site is available for STN-Columbus and STN-Tokyo Service Center customers and is not available for STN accounts opened over the Internet through STN Easy. European customers should contact STN-Karlsruhe.
- Follow the instructions to download the software installation file to your desktop or to a download folder. Note where you saved the downloaded file. The file name begins with "v8_4".
Step C - Install Version 8.4.2
- Exit STN Express and all other running programs.
- Locate the software installation file that you downloaded in Step B.
- Double-click the file to launch the installer. Or, right-click on the file and select Open.
- Follow the prompts to install Version 8.4.2.
Step D - Verify the Installation
- Launch STN Express.
- Check the exact version.
- If it is not Version 8.4.2, review Steps B and C. If the version is correct, you may delete the downloaded software installation file.
