STN Express Password Security Considerations
When you save your loginid and password in an STN Express logon setup, you enjoy the convenience of automatic logon to STN or other hosts. Your password is saved to your hard drive in an encrypted format, so it is safe from casual snooping. Thus, it would be difficult for someone to steal your password and then use your loginID and password to log in to the host from another location. However, by saving your loginID and password, anyone who has access to your computer could start STN Express, automatically login, and use your account. Therefore, you may not want to save both your password and loginID.
