Substance Table with Properties

Available with STN Express, Version 6.01 and higher for Windows

The Substance Table with Properties Predefined Report feature helps you create a table with a professional-looking format from transcripts with substance data, including calculated and/or experimental property data, if available.

Click the Predefined Report button on the toolbar of the STN Express main menu, and select Substance Table with Properties from the drop-down menu.

The Transcript File: dialog box opens. Select the transcript of interest.

Note: The Substance Table with Properties includes the following fields: structure, CAS Registry Number, CAS Index Name, molecular formula, calculated properties, and experimental properties. Be sure the answers in the transcript you select have been displayed in a format in which these fields are available. If the fields are not displayed in the transcript, the corresponding columns in the table will not be populated, even if data are available for the substance.

Click Open.

The transcript appears in a "predefined substance table with properties" format. Column width can be adjusted, if necessary, by placing your mouse on the line that divides the columns and moving it to the left or right. To create a custom table, use the Table Tool.
