STN Analyze Wizard

Available with STN Express, Version 7.0 and higher for Windows

The STN Analyze Wizard lets you easily analyze and tabulate data for a single- or multi-file answer set, and then automatically create a data table and 3-D chart in Microsoft Excel.


After conducting a search and obtaining an L-number answer set, click discovericon. Several options display. Select Analyze to launch the STN Analyze Wizard.

Select the L-number answer set to analyze. Click Next.

Select one or two fields to analyze. Click Options for additional and custom fields, as well as other options.

Select from the options and click OK.

Note: Standard Microsoft Excel limits apply when creating the chart.


Click Analyze.

A chart is displayed in Microsoft Excel. You can use this chart the same way as any other Excel chart you create.

Note: The raw data is available in an Excel spreadsheet. STN Express with Discover! also automatically executes the ANALYZE and TABULATE commands and displays the results in your online session.
