concept1

Developing and searching your query

Within the Concept box, you can enter a single term, phrase, or synonymous terms on separate lines. You can also add additional concepts, select operators (AND, OR, NOT, or the CLOSE proximity operator) to define the relationships between concepts, and use standard STN truncation and character masking symbols.

When you are satisfied with your query, click the Search button

concept2

Viewing your results

The titles of the documents in your results set display in the Results area. You can easily browse the titles by scrolling and paging.

concept3

Filtering your results

Before visualizing data in the documents, you may wish to apply filters to your results set. The filters let you:

  • Include only documents from a particular timeframe
  • Eliminate patents or nonpatent literature

Choose the appropriate filter(s) and click Filter.
