Searching for Reaction Mechanisms
Introduction

This section describes how to locate general reaction information based on reaction mechanism using Explore References.

When to use

Use reaction mechanism searching when you want to locate reactions for any type of chemical compound, without regard to specific reactants or products.

Example

Locate Diels-Alder and retro-Diels-Alder reactions involving cyclopentene.

How to Follow these steps to locate relevant reaction information.

2 Click research topic.

Type keywords of interest. Click Search.

Tip: Include synonyms in parentheses after the associated keyword.
