How to... Select Options for Retrieving Substances
The Get Substances dialog box allows you to specify requirements for locating structure matches. To efficiently locate matches of interest, you can specify both structural and qualitative information up-front.

After you draw your structure and click Get Substances, SciFinder offers you several options for retrieving substances.
Select the options that make the most sense for your query. Click OK. |

Note: Queries may not include variable groups, repeating groups, or variable attachment positions. | |

- By default, all types of substances are included. To limit your answer set, select only the type(s) that are of interest.

Additional Filters

If you apply multiple filters, such as References and Commercial availability, only substances that meet both criteria are retrieved.

By default, all types of studies are included. To limit your answer set, select only the type(s) that are of interest. Select multiple types of studies to broaden your answer set. |
