How to... Print, Save, and Export Answers

SciFinder allows you to print reference, substance, and reaction answers, as well a save answers to the CAS server or a file on your computer.

Printing answers

When an answer set is displayed in the main SciFinder window, select the answers you would like to print.  Then click Print, located in the upper right hand corner of the page. 

 

Select the appropriate options, and click Print.

• If no answers are selected, the entire answer set will be printed.
• To print the details for a single answer, display the details in the main SciFinder window.  Then click Print.

Saving answers

When an answer set is displayed in the main SciFinder window, select the answers you would like to save.  Then click Save, located in the upper right hand corner of the page.  

Specify the appropriate information, and click OK.

• You can retrieve your answer set at any time by clicking  in the upper right corner of the browser window.
• If no answers are selected, the entire answer set will be saved.
• To save the details for a single answer, display the details in the main SciFinder window.  Then click Save.

Exporting answers

When an answer set is displayed in the main SciFinder window, select the answers you would like to save to your desktop or another local folder.  Then click Export, located in the upper right hand corner of the page.  .  

Specify the appropriate information, and click Export.

• If no answers are selected, the entire answer set will be exported.
• A maximum of 20,000 answers can be exported.
