How to... Set up a Keep Me Posted Alert for Sequences

SciFinder's Keep Me Posted feature lets you quickly and easily set up alerts for sequences of interest.

Alerts may be set up for any Explore by Sequence task from the Sequence Explore Result or the Result Set Manager.

1.

When a Sequence Explore Result is displayed, click the Keep Me Posted Now icon.

  • Conduct your Explore task the way you would like the current-awareness search to be conducted each time.

Alternatively, right-click on the result in the Result Set Manager and select KMP Now.

Tips
  • To be alerted by e-mail when Keep Me Posted results are available, click Set E-mail Address. In your KMP preferences, select Notify me by email and enter your e-mail address.

  • You can select expirations of up to one year. You can extend this time by returning at a later date to update your Keep Me Posted profile.

3.

After your alert has run for the first time, you can access your results from the New Task window by clicking Keep Me Posted. Or, click the KMP Results tab within the Results Set Manager.
