How to... Print and Save Answers

SciFinder allows you to print reference, substance, and reaction answers, as well as save answers to a file on your computer.
Printing answers

Select the answers you would like to print. Then select File > Print.
Note: If you do not select specific answers, SciFinder will print all of the answers. |

Select a print format, and indicate whether to include the task history. (Optional) Enter a print header. Click OK. |

- When printing substances, select Include Property Data when you want that data in your printout.
- Select Grid layout, and specify the number of columns, when you want to print multiple substances on a single page.

Saving answers

Select the answers you would like to save. Then select File > Save As or File > Save Answer Set.

Notes:
- If you do not select specific answers, SciFinder will save all of the answers.
- A maximum of 500 answers can be saved in .rtf or .txt. format.
- By default, a maximum of 10,000 answers can be saved in .sfr format. This maximum can be adjusted in your Preferences.

Choose or create a folder, and enter a file name. (Optional) Click the Options button to access all options for the file type you selected. Click Save. |
