CAS Recognizes Article as "Most Requested" and Author with Most Requested Articles for 2004

CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, formally recognized the authors, journal and publisher whose article was most frequently requested by researchers using CAS online products. The CAS Science Spotlight recognition ceremony on March 14, 2005, held in conjunction with the ACS National Meeting in San Diego, California, marked the fourth consecutive year CAS Science Spotlight formally honored those whose works are the "most requested" by users of CAS information services for acquiring or viewing online.

Author with the Most Journal Article Requests - 2004

A new recognition was given this year to the "Author with the Most Requested Articles." Dr. Stephen L. Buchwald of Massachusetts Institute of Technology was honored by CAS as the author with the highest number of requested articles from CAS electronic services worldwide during 2004.

Most Requested Journal Article - 2004

The CAS Science Spotlight honorees for the "Most Requested Journal Article" are:

  • Most requested journal article: "Toward Catalytic Rigid-rod ß-barrels: a Hexamer with Multiple Histidines." by Prof. Stefan Matile, Dr. Naomi Sakai, both from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and Dr. Gopal Das, currently affiliated with the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati
  • Journal in which the most requested article appeared: Chirality (Dr. Nina Berova, Editor)
  • Publisher of the journal with the most requested article: John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (Jon Glover, Executive Editor, Physical Sciences Journals)
