ABSTRACT:
Oligonucleotide analogs contg. modified sugars are prepd. for use in antisense oligonucleotide diagnostics and therapeutics. Protected 2'-o-nonyladenosine phosphoramidate was prepd. and incorporated by solid phase synthesis into 15-mers complementary to a portion of the papillomavirus genome. The Tm of the unmodified 15-mer and the Tm's of the 15-mers contg. 1 of 3 adenosine analogs were comparable but the nuclease resistance was increased approx. 5- and 64-fold, resp.
