ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a multi-step process for prepg. 1,2-diamino compds. of formula I [wherein: R1, R2, R5, R6 are independently selected from H, alk(en/yn)yl, cycloalkyl, or aryl, etc.; R3 and R4 are substituents of an amino group, wherein R3 and R4 are not both H] from epoxide II. For instance, diaminocyclohexenecarboxylate deriv. III was prepd. from oxabicycloheptene deriv. IV (example 1). The invention provides a process of azide-free prepn. of 1,2-diamino compds. from 1,2-epoxides.
