ABSTRACT:
Phosphine triazole ligand compds., I and II (clickphosphines; X = H, (un)substituted alkyl, (un)substituted cycloalkyl, (un)substituted aryl, ferrocenyl, organosilyl, etc.; Y = H, (un)substituted alkyl, (un)substituted aryl, (un)substituted cycloalkyl, ferrocenyl, organosilyl, halo, etc.; R = (un)substituted alkyl, (un)substituted cycloalkyl, (un)substituted aryl, etc.), prepd. through click chem., complex with transition metals to form transition metal-phosphine triazole ligand complexes. Thus, Grignard reaction of EtMgBr with phenylacetylene in THF followed by treatment with Ph azide gave 75% 1,5-diphenyltriazole which on lithiation with LDA followed by phosphination with t-Bu2PCl gave title clickphosphine, 4-di-tert-butylphosphino-1,5-diphenyl-1H-[1,2,3]triazole. These complexes are useful catalysts in coupling reactions such as Suzuki-Miyaura coupling, Stille coupling, Negishi coupling, Sonogashira coupling, carbon-heteroatom bond-forming reactions (C-O and C-N), alpha alkylation of carbonyls, Heck coupling reactions, and hydrogenation reactions.
