ABSTRACT:
A general method for the palladium-catalyzed coupling of terminal alkynes with aryl halides and tosylates is described. The coupling reaction was investigated with copper as a cocatalyst, but better results were obtained in the absence of the cocatalyst, which inhibited the product formation.
