Abstract:
The present invention relates to compds. I [n = 0-4; X = halo; Z1-Z3 = CH or N; R1 = halo, CN, 3-7 membered monocyclic fully satd., partially unsatd., or arom. ring contg. 0-3 heteroatoms independently selected from N, O, or S, etc.] useful as inhibitors of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO).  Forty-eight compds. I were prepd.  E.g., a 2-step synthesis of II, starting from 5-amino-2-chloro-benzonitrile and 2-aminoacetonitrile, was described.  Exemplified compds. I were evaluated as inhibitors of IDO1 (data given).  This invention also relates to pharmaceutically acceptable compns. comprising the compds. I; to methods of treating of various diseases, disorders, and conditions using the compds. I; to processes for prepg. I; to intermediates for the prepn. of I; and methods of using the compds. I in in vitro applications.
