ABSTRACT:
Disclosed are formulations contg. an antibacterial alkali metal salt of a cephalosporin compd. and methods of treating or preventing bacterial infections in dogs and cats. For example, 7-[[(2-amino-4-thiazolyl)(methoxyimino)acetyl]amino]-8-oxo-3-(tetrahydro-2-f uranyl)-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid sodium salt 0.5085 g were dissolved in 10 mL de-ionized water and the soln. was titrated with 0.1 N HCl to pH 3.87. The resulting soln. was lyophilized.
