Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for converting syngas to Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) hydrocarbon products, the method comprising: (a) providing synthesis gas to a F-T reactor; (b) providing acetylene to the F-T reactor, the molar ratio of the acetylene to synthesis gas being at least 0.01; (c) reacting the synthesis gas and acetylene under suitable reaction conditions, in the presence of a catalyst, to produce F-T hydrocarbon products; and (d) recovering the F-T hydrocarbon products.
