12216296_xxlLatest New STN® Release Extends Export to Excel® Support to 28 More Databases and Includes New Structure Search Enhancements

Closely following the introduction of Export to Excel support for CAplusSM and DWPISM in July, the latest release of new STN extends Excel support to an additional 28 databases, further facilitating workflow integration and analysis of new STN search results. 

The latest release enhances structure drawing and query precision with the addition of deuterium and tritium atoms to the structure editor Common Atoms palette. Deuterium and tritium can now be added to your structure searches in CAS REGISTRYSM, DCR and DWPIM. Read more about the new STN enhancements.

September 2016 Update to Emtree in STN Provides Expanded Terminology for Biomedical and Pharmacological Searchers

The September 2016 version of the Emtree thesaurus is now available in EmbaseTM and Embase Alert on classic STN, and in Embase on new STN! The Emtree thesaurus provides access to the terminology of pharmacology, biomedicine and medical devices, and includes nearly 400,000 terms: 74,706 preferred terms and about 316,000 synonyms. Use Emtree as an aid to designing comprehensive yet precise searches.

  Does the CAS structure drawing program in new STN incorporate keyboard shortcuts?

A. New STN users can find standard shortcuts use as Ctrl C (Copy), Ctrl V (Paste), Ctrl Z (Undo), etc. In addition to these, and unique to new STN, CAS also added some keyboard shortcuts to the Structure Editor to make structure drawing faster and easier.
