How SciFinder Scholar differs from SciFinder

There are very few differences between SciFinder Scholar and SciFinder.

Features

Both SciFinder and SciFinder Scholar offer access to the same CAS database content and to many of its powerful features.  SciFinder has three specialized features not available with SciFinder Scholar:

• Keep Me Posted (an automatic current-awareness feature)
• Panorama (visualization and analysis software)
• BLAST (sequence searching)

Pricing

SciFinder Scholar was designed for use in a campus-wide environment with a pricing model based on concurrent users.  SciFinder, designed for use in industry, has two pricing options - subscription and task package.
