Follow these general instructions to install the Macintosh version of the stand-alone CAS Structure Editor (OS X 10.6.8 or newer).The CAS Structure Editor for Apple OS X is a dmg (Apple disk image) file. Depending on your system configuration, it may open on download or you may need to manually launch CAS_Structure_Editor.dmg.

Administrator permission is not required for installation but please check with your SciFinder account administrator or your IT department in case your organization's software policies differ.

1. Click CAS Structure Editor Installer.app to select and double-click to start the installer.

2. The CAS Structure Editor license agreement is presented. If desired, you can print or save a copy of this agreement.
Click Install to continue.

3. To continue you must click Agree from the drop-down screen.

4. The installer will show a progress screen.

5. When the installation has finished,  click Quit to exit the installer.

6. The CAS Structure Editor will install to your User Profile.

7. Launch the CAS Structure Editor to begin drawing structures for substance or reaction searching.
