INPADOC: Delay of German patent coverage

June  21st,   2011

The European Patent Office informed us about significant delays of the coverage of German bibliographic and legal status data in INPADOC from the week 25/2011 (June 12-8):

'Due to a complex and unforeseen combination of technical
problems we have to warn you that there may be delays or
even an interruption in delivery of DE data from week 25/2011.
Our technical experts are working on these problems as their
top priority. All our efforts are dedicated to ensuring the
continued timely delivery of raw data products including DE data.
Currently we foresee an interruption of several weeks.'

On STN, bibliographic data of German patent publications are also available in the patent full-text database PATDPAFULL and in the value-added databases CAplus and Derwent World Patents Index. These databases are not affected and will provide German patent data as usual.

We will keep you informed about further developments.
