Part-Time Computer Science

Chemical Abstracts Service has a temporary part-time opening (working up to 20 hours/week).

Developer

This position requires coursework toward a Computer Science degree.  A sophomore status is the minimum requirement.  Significant experience with the following: C, C++, and the UNIX operation system.  Experience with the following is desirable but not required: perl, shell, Tcl, and Oracle.  Strong writing and verbal communication skills, strong analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.  This position provides development support for the Editorial Systems development and operations projects.  This will provide the benefit of getting work done while providing an opportunity to evaluate the student programmer for potential future employment.
